Our aim is to produce simple, stylish and versatile leather espadrilles of the very highest quality using carefully selected materials and traditional techniques.
Our finely woven, traditional jute soles are spun from natural fibre chosen and tested for its strength. All our jute soles are sourced from a specialist factory in the Spanish province of Murcia.
Each shoe is finished with a custom-made, DRILLES-branded sole made from natural rubber - we do not use synthetic rubber. The sole protects the jute from damp and dirt and is bonded to the jute to ensure our espadrilles are a strong as possible. A pair of DRILLES is far from being a one season wonder.
DRILLES are fully leather lined and fitted with a soft cushioned insole – we’ve designed them to be comfortable all day and everyday.
Made in soft yet long-lasting Nappa leather, chosen for comfort, colour and class.
Our signature spot. Each colour-way comes with a different coloured 'Drill'.
Each pair of DRILLES is hand-stitched by a small group of carefully selected, specialist craftspeople who work from their homes in the Spanish province of Alicante, and each pair is finished at workshops in Elda, a small town known for its rich history in shoe-making.
Your DRILLES will arrive in a simple brown box. Because we realise you might throw this away we have made it in un-dyed, fully recyclable and bio-degradable paper. We also include a protective cotton bag for keeping your DRILLES in tip top condition on those rare occasions that they are not what you want to wear.
